Like a rainbow fading in the twinkling of an eye….gone too soon.
Schweitzer Linen suffered a terrible loss with the recent passing of a beautiful soul, Elena Schweitzer. Elena Schweitzer was the last founding member of Schweitzer Linen and a brilliant business woman. She worked alongside her husband Sandu and nurtured a dream they shared to be business owners. They planted the seed and watched it grow into Schweitzer Linen. She was 84 years young.
As a true New Yorker, experienced fashion designer and aficionado of fine sleepwear, lingerie, bedding and table linens, I continue to be impressed and delighted by the products in the Schweitzer Linen boutiques and website.
Visiting one of their three New York City retail boutiques is like entering a world of elegant domestic beauty. The windows are outfitted with bedding set with a myriad of finely decorated cotton pillows and coordinating comforters, bed skirts and throws. Once inside, you see elegantly placed mannequins wearing the most beautiful silk or cotton sleepwear, surrounded by cashmere throws. Bedding and blankets neatly presented in rich wood shelving line the walls, separated by gorgeous antique furniture from all over the world. (I found out that these are also for sale.)
